get to Christmas Eve we may feel done with it all. In this service we focus on
the tiny beautiful things of this holiday, the points of connection we feel
with the scripture and with whom we celebrate and worship that make Christmas
feel new again and remind ourselves that the coming of the Messiah is a
prophetic new order for the world.

the Sundays of the year, this one following Christmas might present the
greatest challenge. Many are tired from the lead-up and Christmas festivities,
or worn down by the demands and expectations of family. Others will be busy
with holiday plans, or post-Christmas sales. The focus text Psalm 148 falls
into our laps like a gift and we can let go and experience God’s presence and
goodness in creation.
