Exciting news for Manitoba Cultural Society of the Deaf (MCSD) Members!!

Hello MCSD Members!!!

Exciting news to share with you all!!

Dame Evelyn Glennie is a world famous Deaf percussionist who plays with symphony orchestras all over the world.

She is coming to play with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra her in Winnipeg on May 2 and 3, 2014 and then going on with them to play at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

MCSD is proud to announce that we have created a great opportunity for the Deaf community of Winnipeg to meet her when she is here.

The Deaf community is invited to watch the last half hour of her rehearsal with the entire Winnipeg Symphony orchestra from noon to 12:30pm on May 1, 2014 at the Winnipeg Centennial Concert Hall.

Then at 12:30 to 1:00pm 15 Deaf people will be invited onto the stage with her for half an hour to experience music the way she does.

Everyone must arrive at noon at the stage door at the back of the Concert Hall.  Someone will meet you at the door and take everyone into the hall at the same time.

Watch for an ASL Video explaining the event coming soon!!

Thank you for your interest and we hope to see you all there!!
